Don't believe what you see!

Don't believe what you see!
Don't believe what you see!

Our emotions and thoughts are shaped by our senses that enable living things to perceive life. All senses are shaped by our perceptions. So how we see the world is related to our perceptions. Everyone looks at the same tree, but some draws a heart on it with a knife, the other turns that tree into an artistic work, he draws such a writer; enriches the spirits. Perception is personal. We perceive the world as a whole. We see the stimuli that come to us not in a separated form, but as meaningful wholes together. In other words, we see the stimuli as tables, chairs, Ali, AyÅŸe, not as frames, lines and colors. Everything ahead, completely on our own; It is impossible to see clearly without all the associations, the information we have acquired about it, the transference between generations, cultural, social and individual elements. According to Gestalt theorists who made the most comprehensive explanations on this subject, perception is an organization. This organization; It consists of laws that describe our tendencies to see in the form of completion, grouping, and shape-ground. That is why; Incomplete jobs are those that distract the human mind the most and directly affect mental health.

Perhaps because our ties with nature are increasingly severed, he uses art and literature to enrich our perceptions; We try to complement this gap with activities such as cinema, theater, book and opera. When the integrity with nature is not disrupted, the real 'seeing' will emerge and it will be understood what beauty really is. Applying to such things that will shape our perceptions is also the bright side of the coin. Considering that approximately 85% of the society shapes their perceptions by just watching television without doing any of these, it will be more meaningful that the concept of "beauty" has almost disappeared in our lives.

As ordinary people, the biggest proof that a large part of the functioning of our mind takes place outside of our free will is dreams. The dream is also unique to its owner; indescribable, unlimited in sense. Beyond Freud's excessive reliance on physiology, who developed the theory of this work, it is the interpretation of the latent aspects that even the person himself cannot conceive, which is the deepest eye of the awake state. We protect our health and safely meet our needs thanks to dreams where what is not done can be done, the invisible can be seen, the inaudible is heard, briefly every unfinished work is somehow completed. This security; it allows us to regain the courage broken by wakefulness every day. Those who continue to use this language used in dreams while awake are also locked up in the clinic because they are crazy; It is the greatest proof that direct contact with life, without prejudice, without any image, will inflict great damage on systems.

"When I saw in my dream that I was a butterfly.

Presently I don't have the foggiest idea whether I am Chuang Tzu who finds in his fantasy there is a butterfly, or in the event that I am a butterfly that is seeing Chang Tzu

in his dream", saying to the Chinese sage Chuang Tzu, who talks how relative the view of the truth is, don't trust you see 'as in the melody'.

'Let us welcome you by saying, and remind it over and over before we finish: Be you, don't accept what you see!
